Police have identified the woman who died in Sunday night’s motorcycle accident as 31-year-old Tabia Sharisa Henriques-Bodden.
Mrs. Henriques-Bodden was the passenger on the Kawasaki 750 bike, which struck a concrete wall along South Church Street just south of the Palm Springs complex.
The man driving the vehicle was seriously injured and remained in hospital at press time.
Police were investigating whether excessive speed and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs may have played a role in the crash. Officers said blood samples would be taken from the motorcycle’s driver and sent to a US lab for processing.
Mrs. Henriques-Bodden’s death is the seventh so far this year on Cayman Islands’ roads.
