CIFSA membership on the increase

The Cayman Islands Financial Services Association recently completed another financial year and can already look back on a very successful 2008 and continued steady growth in membership.

Adding two new organisations to their fast-growing list of members, CIFSA welcomes Meridian Fund Services and Greenlight Reinsurance, Ltd. to the association.

‘We are pleased to become part of CIFSA,’ said Cary Marr, president of Meridian Fund Services (Cayman) Limited. ‘We have seen the significant contributions to improve the international and local perceptions of the financial services industry and we look forward to supporting their continued success.’

CIFSA takes pride in its diverse list of members, as it seeks to represent and promote the full scope and spectrum of Cayman Islands financial services industry both locally and globally.

2008 has been an active year for CIFSA with its involvement in the Financial Services Domestic Awareness Campaign, the goal of which is to educate the community, visitors to the Cayman Islands and students, about the financial services sector and the many benefits and opportunities that it creates in Cayman. Several CIFSA members have also played a role in this campaign by being a monthly sponsor of the campaign, such as Cayman National Bank, dms Management Ltd., Julius Baer, Deloitte, Butterfield Bank, KPMG, The Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants, Scotia Bank, Aon Cayman National and the Cayman Islands Insurance Association.
