Cayman out of Digicel Cup

The Cayman Islands hopes of reaching the Digicel Cup finals were dashed on Saturday night.

They lost 7-1 to host nation Guadeloupe at the Stade Municipal Rene Serge Nabajoth in Les Abymes. Carson Fagan got the sole Cayman goal, in the 86th minute.

International debutant Michael Antoine-Curier, lead the Gwada-Boyz seven goal demolition of the Carl Brown coached Cayman Islands.

Grenada drew 2-2 with Martinque in the other match on Saturday in Group F of the competition.

Any lingering hopes Cayman had of qualifying were dashed on Monday night when they went down 1-0 to Martinique. Fagan went from hero to zero, getting sent off for a second bookable offence.
