The Cayman Islands Football Association Youth League season kicks off next month and it should be another pulsating affair.
It starts on November 24 with three age groups competing for individual age group titles; Under-13 (players born in 1996 and after) Under-15 (1994 and after) and Under-17 (1992 and after).
It is mandatory for all clubs affiliated CIFA to enter at least one team in the youth competitions each season as failure to comply will result in the team or teams’ inability to participate in their respective league competitions.
Matches will be scheduled for weekdays at 4pm and on Saturday mornings.
In addition, all Cayman Brac home games will be played on Saturdays in the Brac, as the field in the Cayman Brac has now been certified by FIFA and is ready is for use.
Teams from Grand Cayman will have to make arrangements to travel to the Brac for at least one away match during the season.
The venues available for use this season are the Annex field in George Town, the Ed Bush stadium in West Bay, Bodden Town Field next to the Civic Centre, Catholic School Field on Walkers Road and Cayman Brac Field.
Registration for Teams should be completed by October 24 and player registration by November 17. The registration forms are available at the CIFA office on Crewe Road.
After registration is completed an official schedule of the games will be released and made available to all clubs and media houses. Anyone requiring further information may contact the chairman of the youth committee Mark Scotland on [email protected] and Paulette Conolly-Bailey [email protected]
