The Cayman Islands Referee’s Association in collaboration with the Cayman Islands Football Association is conducting a Women’s Referee’s Course beginning today and ending on January 21 at the George Town Primary School in George Town.
Classes commence at 6pm and finish at 8pm and all clubs are encouraged to send at least one person to participate as the association makes every effort to reach the goal of having all women’s football matches refereed by women.
This course is also geared specifically at improving the ability of women to understand and fully participate in this global sport.
It will be conducted by Fred Speirs a certified CONCACAF Referee Instructor for over five years and one of the island’s top FIFA Assistant Referee Livingston Bailey.
It is also open to all interested persons and is an avenue to further educate persons on the laws and rules of the games.
