The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service has launched a new website.
The site can be accessed at www.rcips.ky.
It includes a variety of information about the service, and has been under construction for some time.
‘This is a real achievement for the RCIPS,’ said Acting Commissioner of Police James Smith. ‘Visitors to the site may still find some pages under construction as we continue to make changes, but I hope that people find the information already contained on the site useful.’
Aside from holding news, general information about units, departments and the organisation as a whole, the site also offers crime statistics, an online form for making a complaint or thanking the RCIPS, and downloadable application forms such as firearms license applications.
‘The website will continue to develop and grow and it is anticipated that it will get more sophisticated as time goes on,’ Mr Smith said. ‘For example, one of the plans we have for the future centers around enabling people to report minor crime online.’
