Co-ed league plays on

The Winter Adult Co-Ed Softball League is into its third week of play.

Week one wrapped up last Thursday and saw 10 games in four days.

In fact three days out of the week saw three games take place in the evening hours at the Field of Dreams facility.

Action started on Monday with Maples C thrashing PWC Scorpions 14-4, PWC Experience blowing up the scoreboard with 31 runs while Senor Frogs had 13 runs and Jose’s Escape getting by KM Ltd in a tight one 16-15.

Tuesday saw another triple-header as Deloitte Canadian Bacon got by 16-11, Master Batters beat KPMG A 18-12 and Maples Sluggers took out KPMG Bounty Hunters 19-14.

On Wednesday Julius Baer kept up their rookie flair with an 11-6 win over Electra Tech Pure Energy, Vivendi Cabaret baffled Doghouse Glovernauts 20-9 and Home Gas burned Chuggers 20-8.

Thursday’s game would see Citi Insomniacs beat Ritz Carlton Jesters 7-0.

Coming into this week the various leagues saw some colourful stats to go with the equally vibrant league designations.

In the Agouti (‘A’) league Home Gas are on top of the Breadfruit division at 2-0. They’ve been solid scoring 32 runs while allowing 12. The rest of the teams in the division are yet to get a win.

In the Cassava division Deloitte Canadian Bacon and Jose’s Escape are both 1-0. Both have scored 16 runs thus far.

Over in the Barracuda (‘B’) league Vivendi Cabaret has mystified the Silver Thatch division at 2-0. They’ve been magical posting 31 runs while conceding 14. Doghouse Glovernauts and Citi Insomniacs are right behind at 1-1.

In the Banana Orchid division, Maples Sluggers are tops at 2-0 and have scored 35 runs while allowing 24 runs. PWC Experience is the other undefeated team after their first game on Monday.

Lastly in the Conch (‘C’) league the Guinep division sees two frontrunners in rookies Julius Baer (who have scored 31 runs while allowing none) and Maples C (batting in 26 runs while giving up 11). The other two teams in the division have yet to earn a win.
