Sunset too hot for North Side

Sunset gave North Side their first defeat in the Cayman Islands Football Association Fosters First Division League competition at the T E McField Annex Play Field in George Town last Saturday.

Sunset went ahead in the 25th minute through Guiloyle Ronan. Ace Forward Lennox Carridice levelled the score for North Side in the 30th minute to end the first interval 1-1.

The second half saw some good footwork but North Side wasted their chances. Sunset did the opposite and netted a goal in the 67th minute courtesy of Darren Stanford and one minute later James Green netted.

In the game at the same venue same day it was Bodden Town who had the better of Elite beating them 4-3.

Theron Wood netted the first goal for Bodden Town in the 17th minute and Jordon Thompson equalized for Elite in the 23rd. This half ended 1-1.

Javier Medina placed Elite ahead in the 50th minute but Graham Gerome levelled the score again. In the 71st minute Kareem James took the game to 3-2 and four minutes later Chalo McLean make it 4-2.

Yolando Donaldson pulled back one in the 80th minute for Elite.

Down in West Bay the game between East End and Scholars was tight.

Scholars Don Kelly scored in the 7th minute to give his team a lead in the first half. Marvin Grant made the score 1-1 in the 56th minute and Rico Bodden sealed the issue in the 80th minute ending the game 2-1 in favour of East End.
