Cayman Crime Stoppers has partnered with the Cayman Islands Motorcycle Riders Association to launch the first annual ‘ride against crime’ to raise awareness regarding the Cayman Brac Crime Stoppers programme.
On Sunday, May 17, more than 100 riders are expected to gather for the island wide motorcycle ride, set to begin in West Bay and travel across the Grand Cayman en route to Cayman Kai.
Riders will meet at Botswain’s Beach in West Bay at 9:30am, and travel with a police escort to the first public gathering at Countryside Shopping Centre in Savannah at 10.30am. There, members of the public are encouraged to come out and show their support by joining the fun with the bikers, while learning more about the Crime Stoppers Programme.
The ride will then make its way to the Kaibo at Cayman Kai, where persons will have a much better opportunity to view the bikes, receive free giveaways and participate in activities intended to promote Crime Stoppers and the Motorcycle Riders Association. In addition to this, Crime Stoppers will also be offering barbeque tickets at the Kaibo for $15 per person.
The cost to participate as a rider is $50 and includes lunch at Kaibo, Cayman Crime Stoppers membership, a t-shirt and free giveaways. All profits will go toward supporting the Cayman Crime Stoppers programme.
