Coaches Ernie ‘Gillie’ Seymour and Elbert McLean clash this Saturday at 7:00pm at the TE McField Stadium (Annex) in a tussle to see who can take the third title of the season.
Gillie’s defending champions Cayman Athletics Sports Club and Bodden Town meet in the final of the Cayman Islands Football Association Under-17 FA cup competition.
Seymour recently copped the U-13 and U-15 FA Cup titles while McLean captured the Foster’s First Division and the CIFA Senior Men’s FA Cup.
Cayman Athletics defeated Academy 8-1 in the semi-finals while Bodden Town turned back Roma 8-1 as well.
Paulette Conolly-Bailey, Cayman Athletics President, said: ‘Bodden Town is a very disciplined team but we hope that the hard work and training put out by Coach Seymour and Assistant Coach Joven ‘Peelo’ Loven will not go in vain. I expect a very competitive game but if they stick to the game plan that will make the difference.’
Meanwhile coach McLean is confident. ‘I feel confident going into this final, we are prepared for this game facing the defending champions. I am aware of how great a team they are but Bodden Town has been playing together for a long time has the right team spirit to win this title.’
