The Caymanian Compass has learned that Education Minister Rolston Anglin was admitted to the Cayman Islands Hospital and was receiving treatment there Friday in the hospital’s critical care unit.
There was no word on why Mr. Anglin had been hospitalised. The Compass was informed that he had suffered some kind of heart problem, but hospital officials declined to comment.
Mr. Anglin was said to be awake and alert on Friday afternoon.
When contacted this afternoon, Leader of Government Business McKeeva Bush said he was not aware anything had happened to Mr. Anglin. United Democratic Party Chairman Stefan Baraud also said he was not aware Mr. Anglin had been hospitalised.
