Minister hospitalised

The Caymanian Compass has learned that Education Minister Rolston Anglin was admitted to the Cayman Islands Hospital and was receiving treatment there Friday in the hospital’s critical care unit.

The Compass was first informed that Mr. Anglin had suffered some kind of heart problem, but hospital officials declined to comment about the nature of the illness.

Leader of Government Business McKeeva Bush later said that Mr. Anglin was suffering from a heart palpitation, but was expected to be okay.

Mr. Anglin was said to be awake and alert on Friday afternoon.

Mr. Bush said Mr. Anglin was due to leave the Islands Sunday for a family vacation and it was not anticipated the hospitalisation would delay that trip.
