North Sound Road robbery

Royal Cayman Islands Police have begun an enquiry into the robbery of two men in the vicinity of the Tortuga factory on North Sound Road Friday evening.

The 911 Emergency Communications Centre received a call at 11.10pm from a man who said he and a friend had been walking in the area when they had been approached by two men armed with what appeared to be a handgun who demanded they hand over any money they had.

Police said the offenders were given some cash and they left from the location in a vehicle. The robbery victims told officers that the suspects were both dark skinned and were wearing dark clothing.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the offence who may have seen something of significance. Anyone who can help should contact George Town CID on 949-4222 or Crime Stoppers on 800-8477 (TIPS).
