New members for Liquor Boards

Chairman of the Liquor Licensing Board of Grand Cayman Mitchell Welds welcomed three new members to the Board at its annual session last Thursday.

The Liquor Licensing Board of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman also sees three new members appointed.

The new members to Grand Cayman’s Board who join Mr. Welds and Bernice Richards who were reappointed, are: Noel Williams, Christine Guilfoyle and Tammie Welds. Mr. Williams, who now serves as Deputy Chairman, has previously served on the board.

Executive Secretary Marva Scott was also re-appointed.

Mr. Welds said he looked forward to having a great relationship with all the board members and thanked them for agreeing to serve.

Former Deputy Chair Lynn Bodden-Smatt and Ruth Williams, member, resigned while Craig Nixon’s membership was revoked.

Mr. Welds thanked these former members for their service over the years.

The Liquor Licensing Board of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman’s new members are: Dennis Ebanks, Chairman along with Eric Jason Mc Laughlin and Siobhan Scott.

They join members Deputy Chairman District Commissioner Ernie Scott and Gina Ebanks who have been reappointed.

The previous appointments of Chairman James Tibbetts and members Perry McLaughlin and Terry Burke were revoked.
