Rudi Dixon not guilty

A Grand Court jury found suspended Royal Cayman Islands Deputy Police Commissioner Rudolph Dixon not guilty Wednesday of two criminal charges against him.

The decision came in following Mr. Dixon’s trial on misconduct and acts tending and intended to pervert the course of public justice charges.

Those allegations related to an incident in 2004 where Mr. Dixon was accused of ordering the release of a drink driving suspect from George Town Police Station.

The case was the last criminal action brought by investigators looking into alleged corruption within the RCIPS.
