Youth Football continued over the weekend with two Under-15 matches at the Ed Bush and Bodden Town Field.
Reports from coaches say both games saw plenty of talent being shown among the youngsters and great improvement over last season.
In West Bay, Elite came out with a 2-1 win over Tigers. Elite scored first through Jervin Ebanks and then Tigers equalised through Laurent Bodden.
It looked like it would finish a draw until Elite midfielder Jermaine ‘Tiger’ Wilson popped up just before the final whistle to dribble through and hit a brilliant winner.
In Bodden Town, last season’s FA Cup and League Champions, Cayman Athletic gave parents and supporters many nail-biting, tense moments, as East End fought hard and narrowly missed scoring on many occasions.
However after settling down and listening to the strategies of coach Lovane ‘Peelo’ Joven and earlier instructions of coach Gillie Seymour, Athletic won 4-0.
Scorers for Cayman Athletic were Matthew Suberan, twice, with Jamaal Seymour and Arin Taylor getting one each.
Matches continue through to 17 December when the league will break for the Christmas holidays.
