Ed’s kids are aces

Tennis coach Eduardo Torres continues his group instruction classes at Camana Bay from Monday.

It’s a six-week programme costing $150 and is open to tennis players of all ages from under 12 up to adult age.

Last year was a great one for Torres who grabbed a gold medal at the Island Games in Aland. He now wants to produce to gold medallist amongst his talented juniors.

Torres said: ‘The training is going really well. I have around 50 kids from the Cayman International School alone in my classes, plus around 21 adults.

‘I’m looking forward to the new year’s competition and want to put some of the Under-12 kids in older age group tournaments because they’re doing so well. Eddie Bodden, for instance, is only 12 and he can already play against older kids.’
