Rivers helps team to keep Buzzing

CFP Buzz Crusaders are still
undefeated after four rounds of the West-Tel Five-a-side indoor football league
but their latest victory was a narrow one.

In Division Three, Buzz beat
Doghouse Devils II 2-1 last Thursday with strikes coming from Carlos Vargas and
debut girl Judy Rivers who scored a subtle goal by rounding the keeper using
the side boards. Ian Lambert scored for Doghouse.

CFP Buzz Crusaders have 12 points,
so too do KPMG Blue Iguanas but they’ve played one more game and have a weaker
goal difference.

PWC are third, Doghouse fourth,
then Ocean Frontiers with WestStar bottom.

Buzz play Ocean Frontiers tonight
at King’s Sports Centre at 7pm.

Before this week’s games started,
in Division One Burger King topped the league having won all four games. Bonaca
Boys also had 12 points but they had played five times and had an inferior goal

Transformers were top of Division
Two, undefeated after five games with McAlpine United second on 12 points.
