Burger King still sizzling

The WestTel five-a-side football
league moved up a gear last week with some prolific scoring by a number of
marksmen.

In Division 1, fresh after giving
Bonaca Boyz a grilling the previous week, Burger King roasted Scotiabank 12-0.
Mark Ebanks and Ariel Tatum both hit hat-tricks for the tasty Burger boys.

Centre Spot beat WestTel 5-0 and
Bonaca Boyz got back to winning ways with a 7-3 triumph over Tru Ballers. Rolly
Bodden smashed in four for Bonaca Boyz to become the division’s top scorers
with nine.

There was a flood of goals in
Division 2 too with prolific marksman being McAlpine United’s Hank Parchment
scoring all five in their 5-1 win over John Doak Architecture. Jon Pump, best
known for his flag football exploits, got Doak’s sole strike.

HSBC beat Maples & Calder 7-2
with Stefan Kormos depositing four for the bankers.

Coconut Joe’s drew 4-4, The
Security Centre were too good for BDO-Tortuga, winning 7-1, Appleby beat
Doghouse Devils 3-2 and Old Boys hit eight past the woeful Caylights Legendz.

Parchment has gone clear in the
scoring charts with 18, Tex Whitelocke has scored 13 and equal third are Daniel
Cummings and Floyd McKenzie on 10.

In Division 3, the CFP Buzz Crusaders
remained unbeaten after six games in a top of the table clash with
second-placed KPMG Blue Iguanas.

It was Buzz’s Kris Pearson again
who found the net, hitting a superb hat-trick. Pearson leads the league’s
scorers now with 11 strikes. Dan Stuber smacked in a screamer for Buzz. KPMG’s
Andrew Green got their goal.

PWC beat Doghouse Devils II 2-1
with goals from Richard Popley and Dustin Snyder. The Devils goal was supplied
by a PWC error.

Ocean Frontiers coasted past
WestStar 6-1 thanks mainly to a hat-trick by Adam Goodfellow.
