KPMG supports young accountants

Budding accountants at St. Ignatius
are making good use of educational materials provided by KPMG for the Advanced
Subsidiary and International General Certificate of Secondary Education programme.

“The Accounting courses at St.
Ignatius are going very well, and are becoming very popular,” said Accounting
programmes teacher Dominique Chenier.

She said enrolment has increased
from 6 students in the 2008/09 school year to 16 students in the 2009/10 school
year at the IGCSE level and interest continues to grow.

“KPMG’s sponsorship has played a
large part in helping the students, not only by providing them with the
required textbooks, but also by developing resources and learning materials,”
she said.

Supporting educational collateral
included two accounting posters and equation bookmarks which summarize all of
the required equations for each course.

“They will certainly be of great
help later in the year when the students revise for their final exams,” said Ms
Chenier.

“The St. Ignatius Accounting
department is grateful to KPMG for their involvement and look forward to a
continued partnership.” St. Ignatius accounting students
