Gaza strikes kill off Brac

Roma propelled by their recent
winning streak in the Cayman Islands Football Association Premier League came
from behind to whip Cayman Brac FC 5-1 last Saturday in the team’s 2010 CIFA FA
Cup preliminary game played at the TE McField Sports Centre in George Town.

Roma will be joined by defending
champions Bodden Town, last season’s beaten finalists Elite, Latinos, Tigers,
Sunset, George Town and Scholars International in the quarter-finals when the
draw is done.

Elite came from behind to defeat
Prospect 4-1, Latinos stopped Academy 3-2, Scholars International whipped
Future 3-0, Tigers beat Cayman Athletics 4-1, Sunset turned back North Side 3-2
and George Town dismissed East End 3-1.

Andrew Ngyou scored first for the
Brackers in the 16th minute.

Keigel Atkinson equalised for Roma
immediately after the break. Then Roma sub Dwayne ‘Gaza’ Wright hit two in the
66th and 68th minutes and Cohen Daley sealed a stylish victory in the 78th

Stockley Chisholm added the magic
in the 83rd minute with Roma’s fifth.

Roma manager Robert Sairsingh said:
“I am very pleased of this result. I had great concerns after Cayman Brac took
the lead but the half time talk was what made the difference in the game.

“This is our third victory in a row
and we are ready for any team at the quarter final stage.”
