Caribbean International Bank was a victim of a bomb threat on Monday morning.
The bank’s three branches in Grand
Cayman were evacuated after the bank received a call saying a bomb had been planted.
Staff and customers filed out of
the banks in Main Street, George Town, Plaza Venezia on North Sound Way and
Regatta Office Park after a bomb threat was called in.
Police were alerted by a 911 call
from the bank around 9.20am.
Police officers, with sniffer dogs,
searched the banks for any signs of explosives.
Staff in nearby offices and stores in
Plaza Venezia were also evacuated.
