FirstCaribbean props up tourism

FirstCaribbean
International Bank is in its fifth year of supporting the regional tourism
industry as the patron sponsor of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Investment
Conference held in Puerto Rico.  The
conference brings together investors from around the world seeking opportunities
in the region.

The
Bank’s patron sponsorship is one component of its strategic partnership with
the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association as part of its long term commitment
to the industry.

“As
a leading pan-Caribbean bank, we have crafted a vision that mandates us to be
unwaveringly dedicated to forming strong partnerships with communities and
nations across our region,” said Managing Director of Corporate Banking, Mark
Young, who along with the Bank’s Hospitality Sector Specialist, Donna Wellington,
participated in a number of sessions.

“We
were pleased to be recognized by the Association’s Education Foundation for our
2009 scholarship support,” Mr. Young said.

“At
FirstCaribbean we are committed to supporting activities that benefit our
region’s tourism industry and consequently, aid the development of our region’s
economy.  This is why we have invested,
over the past three years, in the development of the careers of our young
people seeking to further educational opportunities in the hotel industry.”
