Henshaw cooks up four

In only the second week of
Androgroup Summer Touch league action the Genesis 5 Nations team have stamped
their authority on Division 1 with a five point win over long time rivals Ogier.
5 Nations were buoyed by the stellar performance of Steve ‘The Baker’ Henshaw
who recorded a massive four tries to send himself shooting up the male try
scorer standings.

Maples1 meanwhile have dropped
three places in the league standings after a shock one point loss to CML.
Elsewhere in Division 1 DMS recorded a two point win over PriceWaterhouseCoopers
whilst Harmonic were able to hold out Fijian speedster Ratu of Appleby to
record their first win of the season.

Division 1 saw the first Androgroup
touch rugby game to be played outside of the confines of South Sound with the
George Town Annex field providing a great venue for touch rugby game between
DMS and PWC. No doubt the game will have drawn the attention of locals more
used to seeing football being played on the artificial surface in the heart of
the nation’s capital.

In Division 2 Walkers Blue Iguanas
made it two wins from two games after a hard fought one point win over
Campbells. Campbells, who marched through the 2009 regular season with an unbeaten
record came undone in the second half after a second try from Paul Smith broke
the 3-3 deadlock.

Rawlinson & Hunter are also
unbeaten after two weeks with a one point win over UBS thanks in no small part
to a hat-trick of tries from local speedster Andrew Ibeh.

At the other end of the table, the
misery for KPMG1 and Grizz’s Old Fellas continued after strong performances by
the all female Heineken Light Maidens and Maples2 saw both KPMG1 and the Old
Fellas on the receiving end of heavy losses to stay at the bottom.

Titan Ticklers continue to pile on
the points in Division 3 after an impressive eight point haul over Island
Heritage. The Ticklers’ 10 point mauling featured six different try scorers
with Simon Crompton recording his a hat-trick.

Not to be confused with the
Ticklers, the Trident Titans share the division’s top spot with the Titan
Ticklers after a solid two point win over the Deloitte Un-Touche-Ables gave
Deloitte their first defeat of the season. DART also succumbed to their first
loss of the 2010 season after a KPMG2 solid defensive performance stopped DART
finding their way to the score sheet leading to a 3-0 final score in favour of
the accountants.

Elsewhere in Division 3, Global
Captive Management also recorded their first win of the season over plucky
Prime Fund Solutions 5-3.
