Backpacks donated for kids

Pens, pencils and notebooks are all
in the bag for some youngsters heading back to school.

In collaboration with the
Department of Children and Family Services and the Department of Education,
Foster’s Food Fair IGA donated 1,500 school bags filled with school supplies
for Cayman’s government school students.

The donation was part of the
store’s 30th anniversary celebration.

“Foster’s Food Fair IGA strongly
believes that the private sector has a responsibility to contribute to the
development of the children on these islands,” said company director Woody
Foster.

“The well-being of our nations’
children and families has always been especially important to Foster’s Food
Fair.”

The Department of Children and
Family Services are working with the government schools to distribute the
school bags, filled with composition books, pencils, erasers and other
necessary supplies, to students in need.
