Tom Clark scholarship awarded

Brittany Borden was recently
awarded a full scholarship from the Insurance Managers Association of Cayman
Educational Scholarship Fund.

She received the Tom Clark
Scholarship Award, named after one of the founders of the fund who passed away
last year. Mr. Clark was a director of HSBC, where he was also head of

Brittany will be pursuing a
business administration and education degree at Brock University in St.
Catharines, Canada.

The fund is supporting ten students
on overseas scholarships. John Pitcairn, scholarship fund chairman, said he was
delighted that the fund was in a position to offer an additional scholarship
this year thanks in part to the generosity of HSBC.  He also congratulated Monique Hydes, a former
scholarship recipient who recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business
administration with a concentration in marketing from Nova Southeastern
University in Florida.
