Chairman of the Health Services
Authority, Canover Watson, addressed Rotary Central recently as part of the
health authority’s undertaking to involve the community in its work.
Mr. Watson asked members of the club
to volunteer and help raise funds to assist with much-needed upgrades in
medical equipment and facilities.
“The opportunity for us to reach
out to the wider community is an important initiative for the whole team at
[the Health Services Authority]. We have promised the Cayman Islands people a
health care facility second-to-none and know we can reach this goal with the
continued support of groups like the Rotary,” Mr. Watson said.
He added: “Most successful
health-care institutions around the world rely heavily on a strong donor base
and we are encouraged by the support and positive feedback received from Rotary

“We are always happy to assist in
