Jamaica-to-Brac starts Friday

Jamaica
Air Shuttle has received its license to operate twice weekly flights between
Cayman Brac and Montego Bay.

The first flight is scheduled for Friday, 19 November following the
carrier being granted its international operations licence from the Jamaica
Civil Aviation Authority.

Island neighbour

The airline’s managing director, Christopher Read, said Cayman Brac was
selected as the first international destination due to its proximity, the high
percentage of Jamaicans working there and the new infrastructure on the Brac.

“Cayman Brac is Jamaica’s
closest island neighbour with only a 30-minute flight from Montego
Bay. Jamaica Air Shuttle now removes the hassle of a multi-stop
flight to get to this unique island getaway.

“Cayman Brac and Little Cayman are world renowned diving destinations,
while Montego Bay is known as the English-speaking Caribbean’s
primary international hub and mecca of Jamaican culture,” said the airline.
Flights operate on Fridays and Mondays.

Haiti intention

Jamaica Air Shuttle started operations on 7 December, 2009, with flights
between Kingston and Montego
Bay. The operator has already stated its intention to fly between Kingston and Port au Prince,
Haiti, plus a route to Santiago de Cuba on Cuba.
