Four doing well

The visit of the four Cayman Islands National football players who are presently in the UK on trials while training with the Ashford Town in west London, has been extended for another week for the players to train with Premier League side Birmingham City Football Club.

The players were scheduled to return to Cayman last week but extended their stay when they were invited by Birmingham to play for them in a practice game against West Bromwich Albion FC on Tuesday.

Since their arrival in the UK they have been undergoing intensive training at the Ashford Town where the player-manager is Jamie Lawrence, a former Jamaica international who played in the Premier League with Bradford City. Luigi Hernandez, Donald ‘Naddy’ Solomon, Mark Ebanks and Theron Wood arrived in Birmingham last Sunday and from reports coming to CIFA from technical director Carl Brown they are taking the training seriously and are doing extremely well despite freezing weather conditions.
