Liquor Board hears new applicants

After a
delay from last week’s liquor licensing board meeting, retailers
filing new applications for liquor licenses were heard by the board on Wednesday
afternoon.

Four new
applications were heard, including a specialty retailer from the Conch Shell
Business Park, a restaurateur and chef planning to open a location at the
Fidelity Financial Centre, a potential licensee on Hell Road in West Bay, and a
proposed country western restaurant on West Bay Road in Seven Mile
Beach.

One
variation retail license was heard by the board, an application from an already
established restaurant in the Camana Bay shopping complex to extend his business
into catering in the area.

The
board again heard from the owner of Archie’s Place, a review of their retail
liquor license and music and dancing license.

The board will release its decision in the next few days.
