A 44-year-old man has been charged in connection with the rape of an under-age girl in West Bay.
The suspect, Tyrone Roswell Ebanks, appeared in court Friday morning.
According to Crown prosecutors, the victim in the case is a girl under the age of 16.
At around 6pm Monday, 27 December, Royal Cayman Islands Police officers said the victim was riding her bicycle along a local street when she was grabbed by a man who dragged her into a nearby house and raped her
The matter was reported to police and later that evening the man was arrested on suspicion of rape.

The man has now been formally charged with rape and defilement. He will remain in custody until at least Thursday, according to authorities.
