The two top teams in the Heineken Sunday League, Agua FC and Fire Pros Boca Juniors met at the weekend and produced a first for the league this season – it finished in a goalless draw.

Agua are top scorers in the league and between them and Fire Pros they can boast two out of the top three league scorers so it was a major surprise that the game finished 0-0.

The point apiece retains Agua’s five point lead over Fire Pros but only six games remain so opportunities for their rivals to peg them back at the top are diminishing.

Old Boys started life under new management with a comfortable 5-2 victory against International Kickers.

Kickers took the lead through Gavin Dixon’s opportunistic strike, however, Old Boys scored three goals before the half was finished thanks to Steve Henshaw, Darren Stainrod and Henry Mitchell.

After the interval Dan Cummings made it 4-1 before Kickers’ Marcos Tinico reduced the deficit with his ninth goal of the season. The last goal arrived during added on time when Steve Henshaw scored his second of the game.

CML Claymores recorded their season’s sixth win after a comfortable 4-0 victory against AC Lunetta.

It was only one-nil at half-time after Luke Ascot’s 23rd minute strike but with further goals after the break arriving from Joel Duffy, an unfortunate Camacho own goal and Alan Johnson’s second goal in as many weeks.

The only disappointment for CML was their defender Neveril being sent after two yellow cards.

Meanwhile at Ed Bush third place Harry’s FC kept the pressure on the teams above them by beating MC Devils. Harry’s scored in the fourth minute when Craig Webster fired home.

MC Devils failed to penetrate the Harry’s defence, the closest they came to scoring during the game was a first half free kick from the edge of the box which struck the crossbar.

In the second half Harry’s had the advantage of the wind at their backs and pressed forward to make the game safe – and they eventually arrived late on via Teko Dickens and Dan Stuber to make it 3-0.
