Conyers aids Cayman youth

Conyers Dill & Pearman donated $2,500 to a variety of causes proposed by Tara Ramoon, the firm’s most recent Employee of the Quarter.

Ms Ramoon donated to Just for Kids Preschool, Truth for Youth School and the Cayman Islands Rising Stars Netball Club.

Ms Ramoon, a receptionist/court search clerk, was selected as Employee of the Quarter for commitment and diligence in performing a variety of tasks, as well as her positive and team-oriented attitude.

Commenting on her donation, she said: “Being named Employee of the Quarter made me very happy because it shows that my hard work is appreciated. I have been involved with the three organisations I selected and am pleased to give back to them through the Conyers Community Programme.”

The donations will help Just for Kids Preschool buy classroom computers; more books for students at the Truth for Youth School; and supporting the Cayman Islands Rising Stars Net Ball Club in their travel to a tournament in Atlanta in April.

Marc Tomas, operations manager at Conyers, said that “since joining Conyers, Tara has used her skills in a variety of positions within the firm and has performed every task assigned with maximum diligence and with a smile.

It became apparent very quickly to us that we are extremely fortunate to have hired her, and she is an example to every young person seeking employment in Cayman’s Finance Industry.”
