BritCay help beach event

Beach volleyball takes centre stage next week with some great international action.

Cayman’s two stagings of the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation tournament has gone so well that when the it runs again next week, from 25-27 March, all roads will lead to Public Beach.

Thirty-two teams are officially allowed but so popular is the Cayman event that the USA want to enter two teams so provision will have to be made for them and Jamaica to make it 34 in total.

Thankfully, sponsors have been quick to support what has already become one of Cayman’s major annual sporting events.

The main sponsors are the Department of Tourism, Ministry of Health, Environment, Youth, Sports & Culture, FirstCaribbean International Bank, The Cayman Islands Olympic Committee and

Another big sponsor is British Caymanian.

Noel Williams, president of the Cayman Islands Volleyball Federation, said: “The Cayman Islands Volleyball Federation is pleased to have BritCay on as a sponsor for the second year in a row.

“We would not be able to put together such an event without the help of sponsors like BritCay.

This year, the funds from Britcay will go directly to provide for an on site LED billboard that will raise the standard for events such as ours to a new level.”
