CML hires senior immigration official

Offshore recruitment and human resource consulting firm CML has hired Petula Twinn as vice president of Immigration Services.

Ms Twinn previously held a senior position with the Department of Immigration managing the appeals department. She was also the department’s FOI manager.

She is a qualified lawyer, having studied at the Cayman Islands Law School and has been called to the Bar in England and Wales and the Cayman Islands.

Ms Twinn officially joined CML on 1 March.

“Working to expand CML’s Immigration department is a welcome challenge and with my industry and legal knowledge, I am confident that my clients will be more than happy with the results that I can achieve on their behalf,” Ms Twinn said.

“I am looking forward to being able to continue my excellent working relationship with my former colleagues the Department of Immigration,” she added.

CML’s Immigration Service includes applications for full and temporary work permits, permanent residency, Caymanian status, student visas, naturalisation, passports and appeals.

CML CEO Steve McIntosh said, “When it comes to providing immigration consulting services, knowledge of the law and regulations can only go so far. During her several years as FOI manager and appeals coordinator with the Immigration Department, there is no area of immigration that Petula has not come to know like the back of her hand,” he said.

“Combine this experience with her qualifications and experience as a UK and Cayman admitted barrister and we believe there is no one better placed to advise clients and candidates on their routine and contentious immigration matters. We’re looking forward to Petula taking CML’s immigration services to the next level.”
