Local businesses are backing the Chamber of Commerce in its message of environmental responsibility, as they sign up for the 14th annual Earth Day Roadside Cleanup.
In a statement the Chamber acknowledged BritCay Insurance as the T-shirt sponsor for the event. Free event shirts will be given to the first 800 participants who sign up.
The Chamber also thanked G.E.L. Distributors who are providing garbage bags for the event, the Department of Environment Health for providing latex gloves, Flowers Bottled Water for providing drinking water and the Recreation, Parks, and Cemeteries Unit, who with a team of 20 staff and seven pickup trucks will collect all the roadside trash bags on Monday, 4 April between 5am and 1pm.
Each company will be out in force on Saturday, 2 April from 7–10am for the cleanup.
Individuals and teams will receive a brunch as a post-event thank you.
