Batabano starts this weekend with Saturday’s parade along West Bay Road.
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service issued the following road and junction closures, which will be in place starting from 12.30pm on Saturday, 7 May, in preparation for the Batabano parade:
Hospital Road to Elgin Avenue
Shedden Road to Mary Street
Boilers Road to South Church Street
Dr. Roys Drive to Edward Street
Goring Avenue to Cayman Camera
Warwick Drive to South Church Street
Fort Street to the clock tower
West Bay Road south of Lawrence Boulevard
Westbound lane of Lawrence Boulevard
Eastern Avenue to West Bay Road
Boddens Road to North Church Street
Mary Street to Fort Street
Mary Street to North Church Street
Motorists are advised to use the Esterly Tibbets bypass and avoid the West Bay Road south of the Galleria roundabout.
The roads will reopen when the parade has concluded.
