I don’t know what it is, but I couldn’t put the book down,ONE AND ONE IS TWO by Dr. Florence Goring-Nozza one of Cayman’s newest authors. That lady can write and make you think! I finished reading it in two days. I was moved by my emotions. The Flag Carrier, The Cayman Christmas, and Cayman High now John Gray High, boy that was where the action was seemingly. Those kids were kind of snobbish, coming from upper class black or elite white families.CAL had its share of female politics and some real political politrics at work. C.J Henry Goring, that dude was the Johnny Cochran of the day, and not even the governor understood him when he launched into his intellectual mode. Mr. Hicks, that dude was a disciplinarian that didn’t have to say anything nor use a strap! Dan Hog was a choir leader on Christmas morning!? People still disappointed because Bodden Town Garden Party is not held by the Manse Road beach anymore! Oh shush, the sighting of a missing Caymanian person story is really going to make your hair stand up and really confirm some rumors to be true. I think every Caymanian, guest worker, investor, politician even the governor and premier should get a copy of this book. It is every bit stunning, riveting and revealing as the author has said. That book has some Cayman history in there I havn’t seen anywhere else. Get ready to face the truth because this book is a challenge to all those who don’t want to face the truth and live in a fursad. She didn’t forget the Jamaicans either, and the relationship Caymanians had with Jamaica up until the turn of the century .Indeed, this book is really more than just a Caribbean Thriller. It is historical, and It is Shocking.

I thought the book was unique in the author just being down to earth, its a very interesting book, I can’t believe that one individual could remember all that history of the 50’s and 60’s. The British VSO’s classroom address to the kids was a bit absurd and belittling. The Cayman High School Class grads of 1967 should get this book in their hand. As a matter of fact every one should read this book, it is every bit shocking, riveting and revealing. And the sighting of a missing person well,that’s very convincing, some of you families need answers, Read this book ONE AND ONE IS TWO.
