The West Indies and Pakistan cricket teams were given exclusive access to a viewing of the thrilling in St. Kitts last month of the action-packed Fire In Babylon documentary which recently premiered in Europe and has been making its way around the Caribbean courtesy of Digicel.
Over 150 watched the 85-minute film which chronicles the remarkable journey of the West Indies’ triumph over their colonial masters through the achievements of one of the most gifted teams in sporting history.
Clive Lloyd and then Viv Richards captained the dominant sides during that golden era that featured all-time greats like Joel Garner, Andy Roberts, Malcolm Marshall, Desmond Haynes, Gordon Greenidge and Michael Holding.
Audiences so far have been captivated by the story of West Indies’ decade long domination of world cricket that began in 1975. The story has been hailed as “compelling” by The Times, “explosive” by The Daily Mail and “a visceral and evocative film” by Time Out London.
