Boater critical after rescue

An 18-foot boat capsized in South Sound Saturday afternoon with four people on board, the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service reported.

The incident happened just before 4pm and all four people who went overboard from the boat were adults, RCIPS Chief Inspector Martin Bodden, Jr. said.

The police helicopter and marine patrol boats were deployed and quickly located all four people who were still alive. However, one of the boaters who was rescued is in critical condition at George Town Hospital.
