A man who was involved in a motorcycle accident late Sunday morning in West Bay died several hours later at the Cayman Islands hospital, Royal Cayman Islands Police officers confirmed.
According to police, the wreck happened just before 11am on Town Hall Road near Boltins Avenue. Officers said a car and a motorcycle collided at the intersection.
RCIPS Chief Superintendent Martin Bodden Jr. said the man on the motorcycle was pronounced dead around 4.30pm at hospital.
The dead man was identified as 18-year-old Brandon Powery.
The road death is the fifth to occur this year in the Cayman Islands.
