Several shots were fired at a George Town apartment building sometime over the weekend, but police said no one was hit by the gunfire.
Royal Cayman Islands Police officers said damage from the bullets was discovered at an apartment in the Watlers Road area around 7am Sunday. Police did not receive a call about the incident until about three hours later.
Police later discovered that five shots had struck the outside of one apartment, but no one was inside it at the time.
Officers said the shooting could have happened any time between 10.45pm Saturday and 7am Sunday. They ask anyone with information about the shooting to contact George Town Police Station at 949-4222 or Crime Stoppers at 800-8477.
