Police auction on Saturday

At what store could you shop for all of the following?

An RCA computer sub-woofer, a silver butterfly fashion necklace, a crow bar, a pair of jaguar sneakers, a black outboard boat motor, a golf putter, and a pink ladies Huffy bike.

All those items and more are available at the Royal Cayman Islands Police public auction that’s being held on Saturday, starting at 9am. The auction will be held at the old licensing office parking lot behind the George Town Police Station on Elgin Avenue.

This is the first public auction the police service has
held in 2011. A list of more than four pages worth of item are on offer at the auction, including a few computer/video game supplies, lots of jewellery, dozens of tool, a dozen bicycles,
 clothes and televisions.

Items put up for auction are those police have taken during various operations and which have not been claimed by an owner after a given
period of time. Under the Police Law, an auction is allowed to be held twice a year to dispose of uncollected found property and items no longer needed
as evidence.
