Summer camp sparks creativity

Summer fun is all about keeping kids entertained with and learning about new activities, and that’s exactly what one camp director has in mind.

Gabrielle Wheaton, owner of Articulate in Camana Bay, said campers have made party hats and “they would teach the little ones how to draw a dog for example. They would use their hands and trace over them and they made little islands with them and they put plaster over it. They did some still life painting where you see an object and paint it exactly how you see it, and they made some beaded bracelets. “They are very creative … it’s amazing to see what they come up with. “It’s nice to see the older kids look out for the little ones,” she said.
