Agriculture courses slated for fall sessions

Beginning 29 September and running until 8 December, visiting university professors and local industry professionals will teach topics including animal uses and handling, nutrition, slaughter, reproduction and health care. The courses cover both large farm animals, as well as poultry and domesticated species such as cats and dogs.

Complete cost of the workshops is CI$150. A certificate is granted upon successful completion of the course work.

The fall courses, which are set for Thursday evenings from 7 to 9pm, are expected to be followed up with additional sessions to be determined in the future.

Workshop locations include sessions at St. Matthew’s University Regatta Park on West Bay Road and also at the Cayman Islands Agricultural Society pavilion near Savannah. Field trips are scheduled to Old Brown Ranch and Rankin’s Farms.
