Arrest in East End killing

An 18-year-old man was
arrested Tuesday in connection with the
death of Asher McGaw, Royal Cayman Islands Police
said.  

The arrest was made following a large scale police operation
in the East End, officers said.   

The suspect was not named because he has not been formally charged.
 
 

Mr. McGaw’s body was found lying in John McLean Drive, close
to a clinic, by RCIPS officers early Thursday, 22 September. The
21-year-old man had been shot several
times. His killing was the fifth to occur following a shooting in Grand
Cayman during an eight day period last
month. 

Officers performing
routine patrols discovered the body of Asher McGaw on John McLean Drive in East
End at about 3am on 22 September,
according to authorities.
