As the final audition for Cayman’s Got Talent came to a close last weekend in West Bay, the district once again earned the award for best supporting district of the year for the programme.
The night heated up with all the best that the district had to offer, including returnees Dellon Myles and his wife Rochelle.
Also, the CI marching band impressed the judges as they came on stage with drums and other instruments and really showed their talent, according to the programme’s organiser, Noel Smith.
Lloyd Baker got the judges’ attention with his rendition of Josh Groban’s To Where You Are, as did Jamesette Anglin, whose version of Adele’s Make Me Feel Love earned her a spot among the top three contestants. Da Spontanea Dance Group performed a set called Mindless Behaviour, and Christopher Rankine sang an a capella version of Let Me Love You.
Fabulous Two came on stage as the youngest group and did their song called 6,8,12 by Brion McKnight.
Cheyenne Tibbetts, the youngest contestant in West Bay, earned fourth place with the country song If I Die Young by Ferry. I
“What a voice for a young girl,” Smith said. “We feel she will be the next Cayman country singer.”
Rochelle Myles returned to Cayman’s Got Talent again this year performing Bette Midler’s Wind Beneath My Wings.
Returnees the Excitement Dancers received the highest scores of the evening with their crowd-pleasing performance.
