Downtown streets closed today for silent witnesses

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service will be closing several roads in downtown George Town for the Silent Witness March, planned for lunchtime today.

The road closures will begin at 11.45am and streets will reopen after the march is over.

Closures include:

The intersection of Fort Street and Harbour Drive

Edward Street in the vicinity of the town clock

The Intersection of Elgin Avenue and Thomas Russell Way.

  1. It was disappointing to see a poor turnout for such a worthy cause. Thanks to the RCIP they did a great job with the march. More people should support this because domestic violence is so prevalent in our society.
