Holiday picnic planned to help raise money for the Veterans and Seaman’s Society
The Veterans and Seaman’s Society of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman will unveil the Seamen’s Lighthouse Monument on Monday, 14 November, the Remembrance Day holiday.
Unveiling
The unveiling is scheduled to take place at 10am on the grounds of the Veterans and Seaman’s Center.
Society President Holroy Walton will be assisted by Vice President Captain Arlin Tatum in the brief ceremony.
The group’s annual picnic will begin immediately afterwards.
Special appearance
Admission is free, with games and entertainment planned, plus a special guest appearance by Brac native Andy Martin, the Cayman Cowboy, who will be performing songs from his vast collection of songs from the past and present.
Local dishes and desserts will be on sale.
Proceeds benefit the Veterans and Seaman’s Society.
