A boat carrying 17 Cubans ran aground on Cayman Brac over the weekend.
The passengers on the boat – 16 males and one female – are expected to be transferred to Grand Cayman for processing this week.
Department of Immigration officials intercepted the Cuban migrants on Saturday night, 14 November.
All those on board the boat appeared to be in good health, officials said.
Last month, another boat carrying 19 Cubans ran aground on Cayman Brac. They are still being held for processing on Grand Cayman.
